Gregrey S. Smith, CEM, CLEP, LEED AP BD+C, CEA
President, Energy Optimizers, USA
Smith was named a “Who’s Who in Energy” by Columbus Business First in 2013 and “Legend in Energy” at the World Energy Engineering Conference in 2010. He serves as the Co-Chair of the State of Ohio’s Energy Services Coalition and as a Board Member of the Association of Energy Engineers-West Central Ohio Chapter.
Greg has a B.A. Degree from Wilmington College and an M.A. Degree from the University of North Dakota.
He is a Certified Instructor with Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance, Northwest Energy Efficiency Council, and Ohio Public Facilities Maintenance Association.
Vice President of Business Development
A graduate of Sinclair Community College, Leadership Dayton, Aileron’s Course for Senior Executives, and the Jo Ann Davidson Ohio Leadership Institute, Kenley also serves as an elected member of Centerville City Council.
She serves on the Ohio Municipal League Board of Trustees. As an active community volunteer, Kenley is also a member of non-profit boards, including Clothes That Work and The Ohio Energy Project.
Vice President and Director of Lighting Sales
He is a member of the Green Building Council and Association of Energy Engineers.
Trimbach’s role with Energy Optimizers, USA encompasses sales, project design, and strategic planning.
He is a frequent presenter at professional workshops and conferences, including Buckeye Association of School Administrators, Ohio Public Facilities Maintenance Association, the West Coast Energy Congress of 2014, and the World Energy Congress of 2014 in Washington D.C.
Numerous professional publications have featured articles written by Trimbach on lighting technology, including Ohio Association of School Business Officials and Buckeye Association of School Administrators.
Trimbach was honored by the Dayton Business Journal in 2012 as one of the “40 Under 40” professionals. Thanks in great part to Doug’s efforts, Energy Optimizers, USA was recognized by the Dayton Business Journal as “Rookie Business of the Year” on November 14, 2011.
Chief Financial Officer
His responsibilities at Energy Optimizers, USA include managing and monitoring the company’s accounting, finance, payroll and tax records. Terry will be working with company management and also the sales and operations teams to help manage and measure projects from a financial standpoint along the way.
A member of the Executive Team, she also works closely with the Chief Financial Officer on accounts payables and receivables and preparation of financial statements.
Mike received his B.S degree from Bluffton College in 1973 and an M.A. from the University of Dayton in 1975.
During his years as an educator(holding positions as a teacher, coach, athletic director, principal, and superintendent ), he was also very active in the leadership of the Ohio High School Athletic Association serving the Northwest District Athletic Board for many years as well as the Board of Directors on two separate occasions. He was President of the Board of Directors during the 2008-2009 school year.
In addition to his role with Energy Optimizers, USA, Richards is the President of the voluntary Ohio High School Athletic Association Foundation.
Prior to joining the Energy Optimizers, USA Team, Rusty was Superintendent of the Meigs Local School District where he also served as Principal, Teacher and coach over a thirty-five year span. During his superintendency, he served as the chairman of the board of directors of SEOVEC. He received his B.S degree from Rio Grande College in 1981 and his M.A. from the University of Dayton in 1992.
Stacey’s primary role as Business Coordinator, is working with our Sales team to insure individual and company sales goals are being achieved. She ensures that our internal processes are being utilized and serves as the communication link between Business Development, Sales and Project Development.
With twenty five years of executive level support experience, Stacey continues to work closely with the President of our company as his Executive Assistant and is also a member of the organization’s Executive Team.
Shalini Kumaralingam LEED AP O+M, CMVP
Lead Energy Engineer
Shalini graduated from University of Dayton with a Master’s degree in Renewable and Clean Energy and completed her undergraduate degree in Energy and Environmental Engineering from TNAU, India.
She has previously worked at Raasi Green Earth Energy Pvt. Ltd as a Project Coordinator assisting in solar park projects.
Shalini’s role in Energy Optimizers, USA focuses on energy efficiency, renewable energy, measurement and verification (M&V) and rebate analysis, which includes energy audits, energy savings estimation tools and report preparation for the customer as well as the State (OFCC and ODSA)
He formerly owned Reichenbach Lumber, providing building materials, residential and light commercial construction. The past 25 years he has supervised building and grounds maintenance in public education. He retired from public service December 2014 from Bluffton Exempted Village Schools.
He holds a Building Operator Certification (BOC) from the Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance. Holt is on the board of directors of the Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio.
Field Project Development Engineer
Morningstar has numerous certifications in building automation and direct digital controls integration and service, including Trane, Carrier, Honeywell, and Tridium. His HVAC certifications include Bryant, Carrier, Honeywell, York and others.
Julie Birchfield, CEM
Customer Outreach Manager
In her current role with Energy Optimizers, USA, she will be responsible for coordinating customer outreach, managing the Energy Education Program, obtaining utility rebates and other incentives for customers, and managing project reconciliation.
Julie enjoys being active in the local community. She has served on the board of Enon Montessori for two years and is currently board president. She is also an active member of Generation Dayton.
PACE Project Director
In his role at Energy Optimizers, USA, he works with building owners in the region to help them become more energy efficient. He is also working with a group on a solar-powered community refrigeration project for use in African villages.
Mr. Meyer was recently elected as President of the Board of Trustees for Green Energy Ohio (GEO) and serves on the Board of Trustees for the Miami Valley Venture Association.
Business Development & IT Specialist
He has an MA in Communications, and a BA in English. His role as Business Development/IT Specialist is to design flyers, trade-show booths and other marketing material.
He also is in charge of the company’s technology needs.
Director of Operations
Steve is responsible for management and implementation of Project Management personnel and processes and developing and driving project initiatives. His experience includes: Controls Team Leader, Business Development Manager, and Operations Manager.
Facility and Energy Field Auditor
Kelly’s responsibilities include project development, assisting in proposals and ECM creation, field and energy audits, and supporting M&V. He worked as an HVAC service technician at Mechanical Systems of Dayton for 5 years and then at the Habegger Corporation for 5 years in both parts and inside sales support.
Brad Neavin joined Energy Optimizers, USA as an Account Executive after 32 years of experience in public education. He served as a teacher, principal and superintendent, retiring as Superintendent of Vandalia-Butler City School District. He’s active in several area, regional and state boards, including the Buckeye Association of School Administrators, Vandalia-Butler Chamber of Commerce and as the current President of the Vandalia Rotary Club. Neavin is a graduate of The Ohio University and has a master’s degree from Wright State University.
Mike is enrolled in UD’s masters program for Renewable Clean Energy and holds an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering. He has held previous internships including the most recent at WPAFB as a research assistant testing the thermal properties of vertically aligned carbon nanotubes and data analysis.
